Carol learned how to read because hert aunt used to send her boxes full of Archie comics (Veronica rules!). Now she’s a writer, novelist, social justice advocate, and English professor, and probably a whole lot of other things you don't care about. Carol’s novel-in-progress was nominated for the Pat Kavanagh Award for Best Manuscript, and her short story, White Alien, was short-listed as for Glitter Train's Short Story Award for New Writers. Her non-fiction work regularly appears in presses like The Frisky, Dame Magazine, Grio, XO Jane, and more. The idea for American Witch was personally yanked by Carol from the pits of the 8th circle of hell, tempered in the smithery of Themiscyra, frozen in Carbonite,  and finally submitted as her thesis to the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and she’s  been developing it with fellow SAICer, Grace Culloton, ever since. Visit her Author's page  if you're into that sort of thing.
